DeepFakes can appear as Videos or Images, and it is getting harder to tell if they are real. Gone are the days of tabloids who put a famous face on a not so great body and it was pretty easy to know that something was not right with the picture. However, computing technology and machine learning software have advanced to the point that manipulated images appear utterly real according to deep fake pioneer, Hao Li. He stated that within 6 to 12 months, these types of images would be fully available to everyone, and it will be harder, to tell the truth from fiction.
