Protect your Anonymity is all about Layers

The acronym, TOR, stands for The Onion Router or a system of security encryption that can protect anonymity. While some use it for nefarious purposes, it began as a project at the United States Naval Research Laboratory so that U.S. intelligence officers and employees could conduct safe online communication. It can be accessed using a specific browser that anonymizes all your searches and protecting your identity while you are online. Law enforcement, journalists, the military, and attorneys use it. It does have some drawbacks, primarily due to the way your data moves through several different relays that are used to create layers of encryption to protect your identity. It does slow down browsing, and there will be places you can not go even if you used to. Some countries prevent its use, so if you are traveling, beware. It is continuously improving for better anonymity.
