New and sophisticated ransomware attacks are being perpetrated on all types of businesses including large companies and government entities.  This deep pocket targets are driving the costs up by extorting extremely large ransoms. The time it takes to recover these intricate computer systems means more downtime and greater recovery costs. In the last quarter of last year there was a 104% increase in ransomware attacks over the previous quarter.
