Don’t Store Data You Don’t Need

Today all businesses are tech businesses. That requires that they all comply with different variations of regulatory compliance, the requirements which are often changing faster than possible implementation. Unfortunately, due to these regulations, companies can no longer ignore them and must not only put them in place but enforce them. Having them in place and not implementing them can be a more significant problem than not having them at all and putting into effect the policy of data minimization. It means identifying the data should be stored, and disposing of any data that they don’t require is of utmost importance. Keeping the least amount of sensitive data means less disclosure risk to the organization under the adopted regulatory frameworks of late. Dispose of unneeded information properly.
