Revised Apple Policy Rules for Apps in App Store

Developers of apps distributed through the Apple App Store will be subject to a new set of guidelines and policies distributed this week. Some of these changes are controversial. Some of the revisions include mobile device management, push notifications, app sign in, reviews, and data storage, and collection. Another change allows Apple to reject any app that users might use to commit a crime or to evade law enforcement. Apple found that many approved apps had been spamming its users with unwanted ads. These rule changes now require customer consent through its user interface before they can receive advertisements from an app. Additionally, all apps must provide a way to opt-out for any push notification ad delivery.
