30-year old “Computer Genius” arrested in Football Club Hack

How it happened: Hacker used a string of hacking techniques to gather and leak the information and then demanded money in exchange for not going public with the documents
Outcome: The detained man described as a “computer genius” is linked to the Football Leaks whistleblower website and is suspected of a number of other crimes including qualified extortion and violation of secrecy.
