Inability to Scale Plagues Google’s Pandemic Information and Diagnostic Site

The entire Covid-19 pandemic has caused every business to question its capabilities whether from a business continuity standpoint or a complete re-imagining of its business practices. Some divisions are hastily coming up with solutions to help deal with the various different aspects of this pandemic.
A Google sister company, Verily, in concert with the Federal government is charged with establishing websites with information and screening for the Covid-19 virus. However, in the rush to design and bring these sites online they drastically underestimated the number of people that would be requesting information and testing burdening its capacity to schedule appointments at either of the two facilities. Hardly the nationwide information we were expecting and to date there is still no indication of when or if a nationwide screening site will launch.
