The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Amazon.com is going to be launching a tablet of its own this fall. This new tablet will put Amazon directly in competition with Apple’s iPad, which is going to be a hard target to knock out of first place.
Competition between the industry Goliaths is intensifying as they struggle to gain market share in the lucrative app market space, music downloads and ultimately the published word. Although Amazon has established substantial market share in the later with its Kindle family of ebook readers, Apple has done less so.
