Standing our Ground on Encryption – without it, we will lose all Privacy!

According to the US Consitution, we have the right to be secure in our persons, houses, and papers. Unlike 1787 when they wrote the constitution, today, “our papers” are digitally stored in various mediums. They may be on our smartphones, on hard disks, on USB drives, in the cloud, or on a back-up tape. If the government wanted to go through your “papers,” they are required to get a judicial warrant. The best way one can prevent others from snooping on your communication or accessing your private data is through the use of robust encryption. Encryption is the key to protect the claim to our right to privacy. Without it, we are subject to the government granting us the privilege. The US is unique because our forefathers had the foresight to protect us from an out of control, despotic government deadset on infringing those inalienable rights.
