Lawfirm Software attacked by Ransomware

Legal offices use case management software to assist them in preparing for trials.  One of the largest providers is a company called TrialWorks. Unfortunately, a cybercriminal was able to launch a REvil/Sodinokibi ransomware attack that shut down the platform for four days and preventing the law firms and attorneys from accessing any of the legal documents they had stored in TrialWorks. The lack of access law firms forced some law firms to request extentions from the courts in filing documents to support their cases.
