The NSA issued an internal assessment last week saying they have “moderate confidence” that the hack came from North Korea’s Reconnaissance General Bureau — a tip that the Washington Post first reported. The Reconnaissance General Bureau is a government spy agency that unleashed the nasty, yet somewhat amateur virus that managed to successfully prey on 300,000 people across 150 countries.
