After the pandemic, the way that businesses operate will be completely different. For many, they will now understand the importance of their Information technology and cybersecurity personnel. Companies will now have more employees working remotely from home or other locations. Information Technology and Cybersecurity need to have a seat at the boardroom table so they can help the C-levels figure out the design of the post coronavirus operations. In this Post-Covid environment, we will see anywhere from 30-70% of employees telecommuting. All of the reasons that executives used to limit telecommuting in the past are now gone. However, in the rush that the pandemic hit businesses, what became quickly evident was a lack of proper security practices revealing a lack of executive preparedness when it came to supporting an appropriate telecommuting infrastructure.
