National Security and the Chinese-based Social App TikTok

Have you or Do your kids use TikTok?  TikTok is a wholely owned Chinese based video platform that is popular in social media circles. It boast a user base of a half-a-billion. What the government is concerned about is the fact that these social media content companies are owned by the communist controlled government of China.  As such the privacy protections that Americans assume to be in place are not. These companies collect data about your device, GPS location, content on the device, IP addresses, specific device identifiers, cookies and other sensitive personal data. As a wholely owned Chinese Government Business they are required to adhere to Chinese law and that does not mean your privacy.
