Pandemic Customers Buy but Amazon Can’t Deliver
With our shopping abilities deeply curtailed by this forced government self-isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have turned to those who can supply our needs through online shopping. Turns out that for many of us that is Amazon.com. However, there is no way that Amazon could have predicted and prepared for the onslaught of orders that would need to be fulfilled and shipped. To help Amazon deal with this onslaught of orders they are implementing some new features such as removing suggestions and recommendations for additional items so that customers will purchase fewer items. This will help them as they struggle to meet the increased demand for their products so they can fulfill the orders in a timely manner. Addtionally they have put on hold their promotional deal days that they traditionally offer during the year.
