Cybercrime is Zeroing in on Healthcare Organizations

It seems that almost everything today is connected and more connections to the internet are made daily. One industry where this is more problematic is Healthcare.

Why?  Medical data is worth big bucks — up to 10 times as much as stolen financial data.  The data that Healthcare Organizations is create and store can be used by cybercrimals to make even more money.  The growth of network connected devices means a huge attack surface that must now be controlled. If security was done correctly, it would require that each of these devices must be segmented off in with access limited to specific areas on the network where its data could be deposited.  BUT what hospitals can hire the level of IT professionals who understand such complex networks in order to protect them when every room in the hospital has 20-30 independent connected devices that must be monitored, secured and attacks logged.
