Mules are a common way for criminals to move their merchandise or ill-gotten gains around.  Whenever there is something big in the news, you can bet that there will be criminals who will exploit it.  It has never been more true than right now as we are hunkered down in our homes due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  Currently, there are criminals who are working hard on recruiting people who would be willing to launder their stolen cash. The FBI is out with a warning about these criminals exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic.  Many of these criminals use quite convincing and persuasive social engineering techniques that can turn and even trap the wariest and most cautious person. Many times you might be just thinking you are doing a favor and end up an unknowing participant in these schemes.  They recruit by email, text, job listings, or advertisments on so social media.
