Hackers Target Large Databases

It was only a matter of time! The tiny start-up Clearview AI developed an algorithm that utilized a three billion image database that could end your ability to walk down the street anonymously. They provided it to worldwide law enforcement agencies. Their system was far beyond anything ever constructed by the United States government, or Silicon Valley tech giants had ever built. As it turns out, they had a security problem that allowed an “unauthorized user” to download every customer that used their system and the number of times they utilized the system. They have since patched the vulnerability used by the hacker to gain access. This massive database is a treasure trove for any hacker, and this break-in indicates their likeliness as a target.
