United States companies must manufacture all equipment connected to the US power grid, according to an executive order issued by the President this week. This executive order will protect our electrical power infrastructure from foreign adversaries who wish to infiltrate, create, or to exploit equipment or a vulnerability. The US power grid is the backbone of our critical national infrastructure, and it requires protection from nation-state actors trying to target them. If a nation-state was able to attack the US power grid successfully, it could have serious economic, health, and safety to US citizens and prevent our ability to defend ourselves and our allies.
